Art Collecting Inspiration – Napa Valley, CA

25 Jan

Next time you are sipping wine in Napa stop by the Di Rosa Museum, a specialized collection of Contemporary California Art. The museum’s founder, Rene di Rosa, is considered to have the largest holding of Bay Area art in the world – approximately 2,000 artworks in total, by more than 800 artists. The Di Rosa collection is housed in three buildings overlooking Winery Lake – simply stunning!

Here’s an image of one of my favorite collection photos, taken at the Di Rosa residence and featured in the book, “Local Color: The Di Rosa Collection of Contemporary California Art”. Artwork literally hung from floor to ceiling, on the ceiling!
